Human Factor International’s Phil Guo speaks at AIESEC Corporate Social Responsibility Forum in Shanghai

(July 30, 2010) Phil Guo, Partner, Business Development - Asia Pacific of Human Factor International recently delivered a keynote speech on the topic of “Globally-Minded Entrepreneurship” to the Association Internationale des Étudiants en Sciences Économiques et Commerciales (AIESEC) for their Corporate Social Responsibility Forum in Shanghai on May 30, 2010. Phil’s participation demonstrates HFI’s ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility by granting young people access to business leaders in a setting where they can explore possibilities for their future and, develop an appreciation for sharing their own experience and expertise with the generations that follow them. Alongside HFI, sponsors & partners at the event included Price Waterhouse Coopers, Habitat for Humanity China, and Chinese Railways.
A brochure for the event explains, “With the rapid growth of economies all around the world, more and more corporations are recognizing the importance of Social Responsibility in addition to the pursuit of profits. Therefore, a brand new concept of Corporation Social Responsibility came into being. Under the guideline of CSR, corporations take greater interest in social and environmental issues during while conducting their business activities. And we hope that young generations can drive the mission and help create a better atmosphere for CSR.”
Phil remarked, "These students are really outstanding and represent the core of China's future leaders in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors. It’s an honor and my duty to share what I have learned from my experiences in the business world - and I’m confident that they will do the same when they enter the workforce.”
A student in the forum commented about Phil, "He offered us a more broad view of approaching self development, not being limited by our environment, and trusting that we have the power to accomplish whatever we choose." An AIESEC members from Shanghai Jiao Tong University said, "I was very impressed by Phil and HFI’s company profile. It’s an unusual perspective to many young people in China and I think it was an exciting discussion for the students. He's an excellent and charismatic speaker and, in fact, was voted the best speaker of the day with and average of 4.9 out of 5 by the students.”
